Treated Hubby to lunch for the best BBQ in Travelers Rest... what a tremendously addictive meal we had! Had to go back later in the week to try a different sandwich and again amazed at the quality of our food! Took our "Growler" in for a beer refill too and met Steve and Kelly the owners who were equally memorable in welcoming us back. A low key neighborhood perfect fit that we consider a local treasure.

This place is an upscale BBQ place. The service was outstanding and attentive. The BBQ is outstanding and has some of the best brisket in the upstate. I'm sure we will return. The drinks were $15 each. Wow!!!!

We sat outside on the covered patio because we had our dogs. The service was great! Tammy took care of us and even brought the dogs a large bucket of water. We ordered the pork rinds with barbecue ranch (delicious) a full Rib platter with collards and I had a platter with pork, ribs and a spicy sausage with collards. Everything was yummy and we especially liked the mustard bbq sauce. Everyone was so friendly (even the manager stepped out to chat with us) and seemed to enjoy our puppies too!!!

My husband saw this place mentioned in Southern Living and it was just off the interstate on our way to vacation. So glad we stopped for lunch.The barbecue was literally the best we ever had!! My husband got the sweaty pig sandwich and I got the rib and brisket plate. We had collard greens, coleslaw and fries. All were delicious!! The pulled pork on my husband's sandwich was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Moist with no fat or gristle. The collard greens were our favorite side ( even though the slaw and fries were terrific )! The ribs were meaty and tender and the brisket was melt in the mouth tender. Perfect with just enough fat for flavor! My husband proclaimed The Smoking Butt Head "the standard by which all barbecue will now be measured ". We plan on stopping in again on our way home!! Our waitress was great and our food was served quickly. We enjoyed local beer as well. Good music was playing overhead and they also have an upstairs venue that broadcasts NFL football games. Great place!

My lady and I wondered in here on a whim and was the best experience ever. Ambiance, food and service all were on point. Dessert, get the banana pudding and thank me later!! Great owners and definitely a spot you will want to come back too!!

First of all, great name. Secondly, great food. I read about all of the awards this place has won and had to try the ribs. I went with a half slab and they were delicious! The meat fell right off the bone. The sides weren't bad. Lexi, our server, was alot of fun and meticulously walked us through all of the sauces. There was some good live music playing in the afternoon. The location is right on Main Street so it's a win all the way around.
